A Panchayat is a body of elected representatives chosen to manage the administrative affairs of Panchayati Raj institutions. In the case of a Grama Panchayat, it is the primary committee responsible for implementing the decisions of the Grama Sabha and managing day-to-day administration.The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. They preside over meetings and oversee the overall functioning of the Panchayat.Vice President: Discharges the duties of the President in their absence.Ward Members: Elected representatives from each ward of the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Committees formed to facilitate and streamline the decision-making process of the Panchayat for matters such as finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
